Who are these qualifications for?

These qualifications are work-oriented and are suitable for those who have current real work experience. Candidates are expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy and numeracy.

Learning and Development is designed to reflect the work of those who provide support to learners, and directly design and deliver training programmes. It is likely that your role (or part of your role) will be one of trainer, instructor, coach or mentor.

Direct Training and Support is designed to reflect the work of those who have direct contact with learners. It is suitable for learners who are working directly with individual candidates or groups to identify learning needs, providing for those learning needs and supporting the individuals as they work towards their own goals. They will also take responsibility for the candidate's health and safety and may carry out assessment.
