Management Level 3

To achieve the full NVQ candidates must achieve nine units: four mandatory plus either B2 or B3, plus three from a choice of up to 21 units (including energy and quality units – please ask for further information).

Mandatory Units

  • Unit 1 (A2) Manage your own resources and professional development
  • Unit 2 (B6) Provide leadership in your area of responsibility
  • Unit 3 (D6) Allocate and monitor the progress and quality of work in your area of responsibility
  • Unit 4 (E6) Ensure health and safety requirements are met in your area of responsibility

Optional Units

  • Unit 5 (B11) Promote equality of opportunity and diversity in your area
  • Unit 6 (C2) Encourage innovation in your area of responsibility
  • Unit 7 (C5) Plan change
  • Unit 8 (B6) Implement change
  • Unit 9 (D1) Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
  • Unit 10 (D3) Recruit, select and keep colleagues
  • Unit 11 (D7) Provide learning opportunities for colleagues
  • Unit 12 (E1) Manage a budget
  • Unit 13 (F1) Manage a project
  • Unit 14 (F6) Monitor and solve customer service problems
  • Unit 15 (F8) Work with others to improve customer service

Management Level 4

To achieve a full award, candidates must complete five mandatory units and three optional units.
